Mechanical Engineer II Full Time NEW

Job Purpose
To participate in the design and review of engineering solutions and initiatives to optimize core operational processes, systems and equipment and realize new engineering opportunities
Key Accountabilities
Performs reliability analysis, failure trending and KPI monitoring, develops recommendations to improve equipment availability.
Leads moderately complex failure investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effect (and Criticality) FMEA/FMECA techniques to prevent recurrence and drive improvements.
Reviews and updates engineering documents, specifications and design packages for technical accuracy and compliance
Facilitates Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and develops corrective and preventive actions.
Executes sizing, selection, specification and performance evaluation for rotating equipment.
Performs Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), reviews maintenance strategies, FATs and preservation plans to enhance reliability and lifecycle value.
Prepares, reviews, and technically validates Management of Change (MOC) submissions with risk identification and impact assessment
Influences, interprets and refines engineering standards for complex and novel applications.
Leads and delivers complex technical projects and provides recommendations to optimize production and generate revenue or cost-saving opportunities.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfill the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Professional certification in at least one of the following: Certified by the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) US standard or Chartered Engineer (C.E.) UK standard will be an asset.
Minimum Experience

A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience
