Job Purpose
To lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company’s Contractor HSE Management Programme and assurance framework throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle. To strengthen and promote contractor HSE performance, accountability, compliance and safety culture.
Key Accountabilities
Leads and continuously improves the Company’s Contractor HSE Management Programme and Contractor Assurance Framework throughout the contract lifecycle.
Develops and maintains contractor HSE procedures, standards, guidance documents, assurance tools and supporting systems.
Manages contractor HSE prequalification, onboarding, performance evaluation and competency verification processes.
Coordinates contractor HSE audits, inspections, assurance reviews and compliance verification activities and monitors corrective actions.
Monitors, analyses and reports contractor HSE performance using leading and lagging indicators, assurance findings and performance trends.
Reviews contractor HSE plans, bridging documents, risk assessments, competency programmes and other contractor management arrangements.
Supports Procurement, Contract Account Managers and Operational Leaders in applying HSE requirements during tendering, award, mobilisation and execution of contracts.
Coordinates contractor performance meetings, leadership engagements, forums, training and awareness initiatives to strengthen capability and accountability.
Supports significant contractor incident investigations and performance reviews to identify systemic issues and promote organisational learning.
Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for the team and utilizes the Performance Management System to measure, manage and motivate performance.
Develops team capability, provides coaching and mentoring and supports departmental budget development, monitoring and control.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management or Engineering.
Professional membership or certification, such as CSP, ASP, OHST, CMIOSH, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum Experience:

A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the relevant discipline, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
